“Mobius” glass study – Sebastian Brajkovic

On Friday, March 20, during the vernissage, we will auction this very special highlight: A unique piece donated by Sebastian Brajkovic.

This piece represents an experimental departure for the artist, shifting away from the structural demands of bronze, where the hand-blown piece serves as a material study—a way to test the mathematical logic and warped perspectives into the crystalline clarity of glass.

The Infinite in Glass
While his works in bronze utilize the weight of traditional materials to anchor his “stretched” silhouettes, this glass piece captures the very essence of motion in a state of frozen transparency.

Sculptural Fluidity: The piece features a continuous, twisting form that appears to be caught mid-rotation, mimicking the swirling energy of a liquid state.
Authenticity: This exploratory work is hand-signed and dated (S.B. 2022), documenting a specific pivot point in the artist’s material research.

Brajkovic invites the viewer to focus entirely on the mathematical grace of the curve and the interplay of light within this clear, hand-wrought sculpture.
