Auktionsregeln

ENGLISCH (DEUTSCH SIEHE UNTEN)

1) End of Online Auction

  • The online auction ends strictly on March 20 at 12:00 noon (Zurich local time / Europe/Zurich).
  • Online bids submitted after this time will no longer be accepted or considered.

2) Online Auction Mechanism (Sealed Maximum Bid)

  • The online auction is a sealed maximum bid auction: a bidder’s maximum bid is not publicly visible.
  • Only the following are displayed publicly:
    a) the current payable price (“Current Bid”), and
    b) the next minimum bid.

3) Current Bid (Payable Price)

  • The payable price is the higher of:
    a) 5% above the second-highest bid, or
    b) CHF 10 above the second-highest bid,
but it never exceeds the leading bidder’s maximum bid.
  • The payable price is always rounded up to the next full CHF 10 amount.

4) Next Minimum Bid (Online)

  • The next minimum bid is not based on the (hidden) maximum bid, but on the current payable price.
  • It is the higher of:
    a) 5% above the current payable price, or
    b) CHF 10 above the current payable price,
but never below the lot’s defined minimum bid.
  • The next minimum bid is always rounded up to the next full CHF 10 amount.
  • Bids may only be placed in increments of CHF 10.

5) No Online Bids Yet

  • If there are no online bids yet, the system displays the lot’s defined minimum bid.
  • In this case, the next valid bid equals exactly that minimum bid (rounded up to CHF 10).

6) Multiple Bids by the Same Bidder (Online)

  • If a bidder submits multiple bids for the same lot and is already the leading bidder,
their existing maximum bid is updated (not inserted as a new bid), meaning they do not outbid themselves.
  • Reducing one’s own maximum bid is not allowed; it may only be increased.

7) Anonymous Bidding

  • Bidders may choose whether their name is shown publicly.
  • If bidding anonymously, the public display shows “Anonymous”; the organizer still knows the bidder’s identity.

8) Transition to Physical Auction / On-Site Allocation

  • The payable price determined at the online cut-off (March 20, 12:00 Zurich time)
serves as the binding minimum/starting bid for the physical auction (“on-site allocation”).
  • During the physical auction, bids may only be placed in person on site.

9) Binding Effect if No On-Site Bids Are Placed

  • If no higher bids are placed during the physical auction,
the leading online bidder at the online cut-off is obligated
to accept the allocation at the determined price and complete the purchase.

10) Binding Nature & Reservations

  • By placing an online bid, the bidder submits a legally binding offer.
  • The organizer reserves the right to correct obvious technical errors and review bids if necessary.
  • Legal recourse is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

GERMAN (FOR ENGLISH SEE ABOVE)

1) Online-Auktionsschluss

6) Mehrfachgebote desselben Bieters (Online)
